Am I required to store long-term?

We offer flexible month-to-month lease options, so you can store with us for as short or as long as you need.

How do I pay my storage bill?

You can pay your storage bill online using a debit or credit card. Additionally, you can discuss autopay options with your facility manager.

What documentation do I need to rent a unit?

A valid government-issued ID, such as a driver’s license, passport, or state ID, is required.

What items am I not allowed to store?

You cannot store perishables, plants, animals, stolen or illegal goods, flammable or hazardous materials, combustible items, or liquids.

What does drive-up access mean?

Drive-up access means you can park your vehicle directly in front of your storage unit for easy loading and unloading.

Do I need to purchase a lock from Alvernon Storage?

You may purchase a lock from our office, or bring your own to secure your storage unit. We can help you choose a strong, reliable lock that fits your unit.

How secure is your facility?

A gate code is required to access our lot. Our units are constructed of concrete, and our staff patrols the property to supervise activity.

How can I keep my belongings safe?

Use a tarp to cover boxes and larger items to protect them from water and dust. If you are using cardboard, choose sturdy boxes designed for storage, not reclaimed boxes from the supermarket. Consider using plastic totes instead of cardboard boxes for added protection against water damage.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major forms of payment including cash, personal check, money orders, credit cards, and debit cards. Payments can be made in-person or over the phone. You can set up automatic payments without incurring fees. For convenience, anyone can pay off your account, even if they are not listed as a tenant.
